Jake Davidson (1986) was born in a postindustrial town in Pennsylvania. He studied at Calarts in Los Angeles before moving to New York. Recent exhibitions include Anthology Film Archives New York, Traverse Vidéo Toulouse, and the 18th Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris. He has also presented work at institutions such as Center for Electronic Arts, Bergen and MoMA PS1. In 2018 he organized a publication and film series in Ramallah on Harun Farocki. Davidson was an artist in residence at Fondazione Antonio Ratti and is the co-author of Cloud Chambers, a book that recounts computerized control as vaporous. He has taught at Yale University and in the Media Studies department, Al-Quds Bard College.
