Isabel Waidner (b.1974) is an experimental novelist. Recent works include Gaudy Bauble (forthcoming), Frantisek Flounders (8fold, 2012), and Bubka (8fold, 2010). Waidner co-edits a new journal for experimentation The Arrow Maker, and managing edits the interdisciplinary academic journal Subjectivity (Palgrave). In 2012, Waidner was awarded a Vice Chancellor’s scholarship to undertake a practice-led PhD in Creative Writing at Roehampton University. She has an early background as a musician, touring internationally and releasing several records, lastly with the band Klang on Blast First (2004) and Rough Trade (2003). Born in the Black Forest, Germany, she has lived in London for twenty years.
